Not really a fan of modern artists (yea, old foggy) but this version makes me stop and listen… Love it because the words translate beautifully in all languages. Another is “Christmas in the trenches”.
Simply beautiful.

Merry Christmas ;D
This opens my heart in such a beautiful way. Thank you. My oldest daughter used to call this ‘The Baby Song’, and always wanted me to sing it to her as one of her lullabies. Years later, I had an early miscarriage just a few days before Christmas, and I still tear up whenever I hear ‘Silent Night’. Hearing it in the original German (so beautiful) and in Arabic really fulfills the song’s true meaning to me. It’s a song for uniting and bringing peace. Oh, if only.
Peace.
Absuloutely my all time favourite carol. I love this version. I have the whole album and will be playing it over this festive period.
Happy Christmas one and all…
