Can you use a darker sugar instead of white sugar? Using muscovado sugar or demerara sugar might lend a richer depth to it no?

You can use any sugar you like. The darker ones will give the syrup a molasses kind of depth. You can try other fruits instead of sugar like Pineapple, Pears or Peaches. Stew them in the Pomm juice and then use an immersion blender or food processor after the liquid cools. The fruit will thicken the syrup just like sugar! Hope it works for you!!

Can you put the amount of sugar into Grams for me? Its just that I live in the UK and I don’t really use the “cup” method. Thanks
